Why cook substantive articles of copper repeatedly fading?
I bought my wife a nice set of very thorough copper cookware for Christmas. Even if it uses exactly as the manufacturer recommends, ie using the correct heat and instructions washing, funds turn different colors after use, so sometimes he does not even look like copper until I polish it again. Is this perhaps a defect in material or will I have to polish this time they are used?
If you get soot on the bottom of your copper pots, stoves or any other for that matter, your gas flame is badly disturbed. Copper oxidizes to a brown spotted on a gas flame. Some people do not like this and they are probably not good candidates for copper cookware (unless they can afford a person full-time laundry). But many serious cooks prefer copper for any other material for pots and do not bother trying to keep an appearance new. Seth
