Vase Label
Going to ship 750ml of whiskey from US to China as gift. Need advice on concealing and protecting the bottle.?
I’ll probably use FedEx or UPS, and label the item as a fragile vase or something like that. My biggest concern is if the bottle breaks, what are some ways to protect the bottle??? Also, what are the chances that someone would open up the package before it got to the destination?? And does anyone got any tips? (preferably from someone that has done this before)???
It is against FedEx and UPS policies to ship alcohol, so you’re going to have to lie and tell them it’s a gift of oil/vinegar/something like that since it will probably still make noise when you move the package.
I’ve found that bubblewrap works surprisingly well, just use as much as you can as well as packing peanuts if you can, to surround the bubble wrap.
Chances of someone opening it up are no different mailing internationally than it is mailing across the country. Make the package as inconspicuous as possible. No special markings, tape it up well and if you can, go to the store and get some of the brown paper wrap sold in the stationary aisle and wrap it well.
