I found a Bob White Quail! But how do I care for her?
I had my grandmother, when I saw cat scratching a chick! I checked over, and it wasn't bad. But how can I feed him? What is the best way to take care of him / her? Would it be better for him to have a companion?
Please put the chicken in a Wildlife Rehabilitator. Although the chick no obvious signs of injury, he probably perforation by the claws of cats and / or teeth, and will require antibiotics. You can find a list of Rehabbers in your area through your local Department of Conservation, and sometimes the Humane Society or veterinarian. It is essential that you bring ASAP to Rehabber. Do not offer food or water. Keep a cardboard box lined with a soft cloth and Ravel-free, or paper towels in a warm, calm in the house.
