My dog may have eaten small piece of glass. How long before we know if something is wrong?
He did this morning when a cup glass fell on the floor and broke. My wife says she does not think it was a big one, quite small. The veterinarian has told to feed him bread, and mashed food regularly. We do. They were told to look to address and lethargy, and blood in the stool. Nothing all that far. Said to watch the 5-7 days. How could we know quickly if something went wrong? It looks good, and acts like his crazy self puppy. Thank you!
You probably know when the glass begins to be digested, probably within the next 12 hours. Keep an eye very careful about it until tomorrow morning, but after this point, it should be clear. However, keep watching just in case the glass was retained somewhere.
