I wrote an OTM covered call options and the pink spot at the strike price. How can I keep the gain of stock?
I wrote an OTM covered call and stock prices rose at the strike price. The option has not yet been executed and I wonder what would be a good method to keep the gain in the case of share prices fall again? The option is now a bit of the value of time so that the closed position will eat half of stock market gains. Is this the best choice for only wait and hope the share price not falling?
I think you hope the stock price does not drop before the expiration. This way, you get to keep the stock, keep the premium, and write a call. The best of three worlds. Of course because you can redeem your call and pocket half that you have the premium and sell shares and pocket the gains you did on the stock. Is an option.
