Is there any history behind Turkish Lemonade?
I’m doing this project on Turkey and one of the things we have to do is create a food dish. I’ve looked at a couple of things and Turkish Lemonade has been coming up consistently. To accompany the dish we have to write a paragraph on why it is important or special to Turkey. Is there any history behind it or anything special about it?
Also, to anyone who doesn’t know Turkish lemonade is Turkish Lemonade and not plain lemonade because mint is the more dominant flavor in the drink.

It is a strange love story between Desert cook and the daughter of Turkish Bey (lord).

Pişmaniye is Turkish traditional sweet in fine strands made by blending flour roasted in butter into pulled sugar. It is sometimes garnished with ground pistachio nuts. It is mostly peculiar to Kocaeli (a city east side of Istanbul)
