Measuring Cup
Essential measuring cups in baking and life
Measuring cups are essential in cooking and in life. Cooking allows more variations, of course … you have the opportunity to taste gradually during cooking. Baking, however, is quite different. First you decide what you want to do! Today we will choose to make a cake.
Then we often entrust this to a recommended recipe of ours or one that has been referred to us by trusted friends or sources. Some of our favorite restaurants publish cookbooks that tease us with their Tasty Treats. Often, donors to charities to donate their favorite dessert recipes to be compiled into books Raiser cook.
All this to that we tend to follow a recipe, ingredient by ingredient measurement, giving particular attention to the number of teaspoons of baking sodium compared to how many cups of flour. A quarter measuring teaspoon baking soda is as important as a cup of flour, even if measures are not equal. That combination is essential to a great result.
We combine the dry ingredients first, so that there is an equal distribution across, and then fold in dry ingredients into beaten eggs and liquid. We all learned that the smell of vanilla, regardless how the taste of green vanilla was quite different! (And no matter how sublime that smell is, we can not be prey "over doing it" by pouring several tablespoons, because of the smell irresistible.) We combine our dough and ensure best to smooth, without lumps. Lumps have pockets of flour and dry ingredients that remain cakey cooking, rather than contributing to the whole cake or a dessert.
Air, too, can wreak havoc on an otherwise beautiful dessert … then we are taught to take mussels from both sides, the increase a few inches from the counter, then drop them straight down to allow air bubbles in immersion to resurface and break. Otherwise, they will remain in the batter / dough, and form caves and pockets that are unsightly when the cake is cut. So, all these precautions ensure that once we have allocated the right amount of ingredients in correct proportions, we are quite sure of the result is, assuming that our gauge oven temperature is correct.
Each recipe for the oven is set at a given temperature, and for our dough remain in the oven for a while for best results. A few degrees warmer or colder significantly alter the consistency of results, and can either give place over bread, slightly burnt or wet, or liquid in the center or results that are desired. You can not remove the temptation open the oven door for a quick search, you say? Do it at the risk of having your cake falling. After all, you need all ingredients in the dough for the cake, if this principle you "sell" on, midway through the final stages of cooking without ruining the cake?
The same thing with your efficiency diversified portfolio also looks like a cake too, with slices of cake different invested in various types of target = "_blank"> mutual funds – those investing in large company shares, stocks of small company shares international, corporate bonds, global bonds, balanced funds, and treasury bills and certificates of deposit. Remember, there are People you chief among them, the sustenance that will complete this cake in the months and years to come. Do not shortchange them by and precipitate action today.
You see, regardless of trying to press and media is about hanging our attention for hours at a time, and nearly Lowering our minds and eyes on their screens and radio waves for the latest updates and news on the markets, we must keep recipe for success that includes measures of the named ingredients, following recipes, including savings each paycheck preferably our pension plans and management of our outings in our input – and the discipline to limit our exposure to the press "high temperature".
Thus, the units of measure enough happiness in our lives is in some cases, a talent and in others, a learned skill. Especially in the middle of a tsunami negativity, we really need to measure and fold into a cup or more of laughter every day. We need to measure our love for us and our love for others, seen and unseen. We need to balance the negative with more positive measures to ensure that before we go to bed every night, we can expect to arise the next morning with a smile on our faces.
Whole areas of our lives exist outside the sphere of our finances, our health and that as our families. As I learned from the experience, the news of a death or serious illness in your family of origin or choice instantly do all the background noise of media mania. Your goal will be redirected to what matters ultimately personal relationships and family. Think about it, thank you and God, if you are among the lucky today and every day if you are spared such news.
While money often buys us additional choice in certain seasons of our lives, in other seasons when the money is not as abundant for any reason (s), what are some of free or cheaper pleasures of life, including many benefits are priceless:
- Our ability to flash someone a smile.
- Our ability to pick up the phone and call someone just to check in.
- Our ability to show his support for someone we love.
- Our ability to strike a conversation with a stranger in the community.
- Our ability to access the Internet for learning (Or the purchase and sale of our products).
- Our ability to hand write a thank you for a simple kindness.
- Our ability to hike an hour.
- Our ability to embrace our family and friends, and pets.
- Our ability to be grateful for blessings every 10 days.
These are things that we can "DO" market volatility in the middle and I propose that we take control ourselves and that we allow to influence us. We can control our minds and our language. We can control our moods. We can control the number of compliments we give to every day or every hour. We can control e-mail we send or forward. We can control the amount of hours we spend watching television, and we must!
We can control our reactions and emotions. We can control the emotion the most useless of all … worry! So, ok … you say you have to worry. Fine. You worry between 1:00 45-02:00 ok? When you can tell me one positive thing you have done, by worrying I'll be all ears. In the meantime, do yourself (and the universe as no action is an independent action after all) a favor spending Stop waking up valuable time to do something that will not produce anything valuable! Make no mistake, if you care password, you will have to cope. If not you will not. Would not you rather have a life strategy overall contains basic principles such as, When the going gets tough, the tough get going, God will take you to a problem, God will take you through it. However, the confidence to think like an adult, you can manipulate it (whatever "it" is), just as you have managed other major decisions and Great or small throughout your life.
What we teach our children or grandchildren on the choices in these moments? They'll look you know. They are mostly things you pick does not say. Do you think we communicate more often without words? Our actual words represent only 7% of all communication with the tone and physiology which represents 38% and 55% respectively.
So why when we know that markets work in cycles, could we get so confused as to think that money was the most important resource in our lives when clearly our minds and our attitudes far outweigh the amount of money given in our accounts in one day?
What a day, you say? someone with a terminal illness, is another sunrise and sunset. This is another memory to establish with their grandchildren. This is another candlelight dinner with friends. Is another conversation share. We waste time without thinking. The value of time largely replace the value of our financial liquidity, just ask someone with a disease terminal or members of their families.
The weather is what we have many, until we are threatened with the loss of it. Then we can not squeeze enough into account every hour. We waste more time and money fretting and worrying and sending the negative energy in ourselves and the wider world. I urge each of us to take responsibility for ourselves.
God, a higher power angels and beckons us to learn as much experience as possible of life, as deeply and richly as possible, given each of our resources. And how many of us put God / Higher Power / angels and the realization of our happiness depends on certain externalities such as the value of our investments 16 hours? Most of us were happy at any time during the last two weeks, until a lame brain loudly announced that the Dow closed at today. Who cares? Let's back was already enough! sufficient emphasis on the slinging negative mud! Enough. Let's find our common bond of man, and America, our American bond. So let the absence of a terrorist relaxation. And yes, make changes to the middle market.
We will use the assets we control our minds in order to properly assess next steps. Everything you need, we can do is what we know. We can not bear the discomfort, yes we can. We must we rise above the negativity hour after hour, day after day, because we must.
We can vote and we must. We can get involved in local government in our communities and we must. Let's show our children and grandchildren that if the people lead the leaders will follow. Lets lead by example.
Certainly, as Americans, we have a good life, we have strengths to regain and surpass their original value if we "leave them in the oven" long enough. We have measures in teaspoons and tablespoons and cups of our own power and grace and tenacity.
Stay tuned for more suggestions on the location of your attention, create a life full inspiration, despite the background noise.
