Galilee boat: the legislative body of Israel Department of Antiquities

The boat is also Galilee called the "Jesus Boat" was found by local inhabitants of Galilee in January 1986. During a major drought the sea of Galilee, saw two brothers a discreet oval shape in the mud, recently discovered. the legislative body of the Ministry Israel Antiquities s, who were also noting the emergence of unknown ports forwards along the drought-stricken Water's Edge, he tartan to inveterate and that was the home of a former fishing vessel.

The boat out because of Great Famine of the time that the lake had its ups and was found by the brothers Moshe and Yuval Lufan, second generation fishermen kibbutz Ginosar. The brothers reported that when they found the boat a rainbow double that appeared in the heavens.

Working tirelessly the boat has been exhumed from the mud on Galileo eleven day period in a comprehensive process which preserves the remains delicate. The ship was enveloped in a shell of polyurethane and then immersed in a special reservoir of water to prevent rapid disintegration. Finally, more than one age years, rotten wood has been restored with a wax especially under water. Finally, all the journey through a process of gradual increase in water temperature over a period of many months, the wax-filled shell was seconded the tank and placed on display. To date, multiple studies have placed the antique vessel 100 BC to 100 AD. The composition and characteristics the Galilee are reliable boat with fishing boats said throughout the Gospel accounts of the New Testament.

The successor on an archaeological dig was conducted by subsidiaries of Kibbutz Ginosar, the power of antiques, and many volunteers. By pulling the boat from the mud without spoiling it – until now fast enough to retrieve before the water again He was raised a delicate process, long 12 days and nights. The boat then was to be flooded in a chemical bath for 7 years before could be exposed.

The boat has been dated to 1st century AD, on the basis of pottery and nail found in union with the boat, radiocarbon dating, and methods of construction of the hull. Evidence points repetitive repairs on the boat has been used for more than a few decades, perhaps nearly a century. When it was measured beyond repair all necessary documents in wood were detached and the remaining hull sunk to the bottom of the lake.

The Galilee Boat is in fact the type of boat that was used on the Sea of Galilee for fishing and transportation across the lake. It is likely that this type of boat was used by Jesus and his pupil many of whom were fishers. Boat has played a large role in the life of Jesus and the ministry – are exposed 50 times in the Gospels!

There is no evidence linking the boat to Jesus or his disciples, but it is certainly appealing to believe that Jesus may have seen the boat sailing on the Sea of Galilee – or even second-hand himself. But despite its history, the ship "Jesus" is an artifact exciting retrieves the lives of many gospel records.
