Glass Marigold
Anyone with a slimline dishwasher, is it big enough?
My kitchen is tiny, and I would only fit in a slimline dishwasher, and to do that I’d have to lose 3 precious drawers! My question is, are they big enough to take things like a wok, big saucepans or baking trays as well as plates, cups and glasses? I’m talking about the ones that are the same height as normal washers, but thinner (around 45cm wide).
I’m wondering whether to get one because I’m washing all this sort of thing up by hand at the moment. We have 3 people living here.
So is it worth getting one, or will I find it too small and I’d be better off sticking to my marigolds?
We had to get rid of our standard size dishwasher and replace it with a slimline one when we moved house (whoever re-modelled the kitchen before we moved in didn’t allow enough room for washing machine and standard size dishwasher! duh!) ANY size dishwasher is better than hand washing in my book!! ;o) And actually they do fit quite a bit more in than i had expected. It just means having to jig things about a bit. There are 4 of us in our family and it just about copes with our daily mess. If you are using loads of pots and pans in one go, then no, it won’t cope with all of that, but i tend to put the dirtier ones in the dishwasher and handwash those that just need a quick scrub. So i would say, yeh it’s worth getting one, but only if you really can afford to lose those drawers??
