Dish Japan
I can not record TV in Japan on my TiVo, why?
I have a cable for all TV channels except Japan, which lies on a dish network. It is the only channel I get on the dish. But my TiVo does not recognize the string. What could be the problem?
You need to have a series 2 single tuner, or a series 2 DT and analog cable for this to work. If you have analog cable, you can put in place for cable and satellite. On your satellite programming, you uncheck everything except the Japanese channel you want. If you have digital cable, you do the same as above, but select the cable box instead. You can do it on such a series 2 single tuner though. Series 2 DT can only work with one box. I do similar with my series 2 single tuner, but my first serve is the satellite, with programming a digital decoder for a channel that is not available on my first service, where I from another source.
