How can I make my own post-processesing with 35mm film black and white darkroom without chemicals?
I have a Canon EOS SLR film I have Never Used, but I am trying to use the black and white. What is the best way to work with negatives that I can experiment with post-treatment without having to use the standard darkroom enlarger chemicals? In other words, how can I work with digital pictures?
Firstly, the use Ilford XP-2 or Kodak film Super-TMAX 400CN. These two are what we know as "chromogenic" black and white films, which means they can be treated along the side of color negative film at any pharmacy supermarket minilab /. Take the film to the lab of your choice and ask "just process." The cost should be very low, I think costs about Walmart $ 2 for this purpose, they can store 1 laboratory hour. What is returned is a negative strip. So, invest in either a film scanner or a flatbed scanner that good negative scans. Once you have scanned the images, you are free to post process / edit them in Photoshop or other editing program your choice.
